Ingredients

1 cup milk, partly skimmed, 2% 250 mL
2 tsp turmeric 6 g
2 tsp gingerroot, grated 9 g
1/2 tsp honey 4 g
ground pepper to taste [optional]

Method

  1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat gently until it reaches room temperature. Add the turmeric, grated ginger, honey and a pinch of pepper to a mug.
  2. Pour a small amount of the warm milk into the mug and stir to create a liquid paste, ensuring there are no lumps. Pour the remaining milk and serve.
