Swedish cuisine is simple and healthy. It is the Swedes who invented the “smörgåsbord”, that famous buffet of hot and cold dishes that are laid out on a large table, ideal for feeding visitors at the end of a long journey.
In summer, as in winter, the Gravad Lax (raw salmon marinated in salt and sugar) is a permanent fixture at every table. Its preparation is incredibly simple. Just make sure that you use very fresh and high quality salmon. The result will be delicious and you’ll tank up on Omega-3!
