The peanut, which is often mistaken for a nut, is actually a legume. It is an excellent source of proteins and “good fats” that are so essential for our health.
Peanut butter is the main ingredient in the spicy sauce that accompanies the popular South-East Asian «satays», those small marinated cubes of meat or fish that are arranged on bamboo skewers and grilled.
We can make this dish more healthy by not only substituting the meat with tofu, but by also preparing our very own homemade peanut butter, from ground peanuts.
